Captain Martin Linge

There was only one Norwegian soldier who fell during the Måløy raid, and that was Captain Martin Linge, leader of Norwegian Independent Company no 1, later known as Kompani Linge. Martin Linge was an actor, he was involved in the society and loved to travel. His presence and energy in the first days of the war took him to London, where he acted as a link between the Allies and the Norwegians who wanted to make a war effort. It was also in London, in a stairwell during a bomb raid, he would re-acquaint himself with love.
